re-manufacturer of inserters. |

business expands to recondition a wide variety of other
production mailing equipment and becomes a one-stop-shop
for mass mailers. |

The
first pre-owned inserter is leased, which is a new concept
for the industry. With this innovation, a whole new class
of entrepreneurs can now acquire the necessary equipment
to start their own production mail business.

Surchin Co. introduces a full-fledged machine shop on
premises. We are now self-sufficient in parts supply.

Surchin Co. leapfrogs the competition with the introduction
of the Corniche, a versatile and heavy-duty inserter.

H.M.
Surchin Co. adds an electrical engineering department
and hires its first software engineers. |

Engineering
work begins on camera-driven reading technology that will
become MailVision®.

Seth
Surchin joins the business and Surchin Advanced Mailing
Technologies (SAMT) emerges as a division of H.M. Surchin
Co. SAMT is strategically positioned to manufacture and
market the company's new products. |

SAMT
launches MailVision®, an
advanced reading system for printers, inserters, finishing
equipment and other paper handling machines.

2000 |
The
DestinyTM, SAMT's upgrade to
the Corniche, arrives. The DestinyTM
is a high-speed inserting machine with swing-arm technology
that processes a wide variety of materials and envelopes.

SAMT
introduces the Intelligent DestinyTM,
which combines MailVision®
with the DestinyTM for intelligent
inserting applications. |
